Google Wallet is an important part of our continuous effort to improve the way of shopping for businesses and consumers. It is intended to make it easier for buyers to pay for the items you want, while the merchant provides more ways to offer coupons and loyalty programs to customers, as well as bridging the gap between online and offline commerce.
Because Google Wallet is a mobile application, it can do more than ordinary wallets. You will be able to save your credit card, offers, loyalty cards and gift cards, but without filling your pocket. When you press to pay, your phone will automatically redeem the offers and get points for your loyalty. One day, even things like boarding pass, tickets, ID and keys can be stored on Google Wallet.
Initially, Google Wallet will support the MasterCard Prepaid Card Citi and Google, which you can use with almost all card payments. From the beginning, you can use the phone to pay wherever MasterCard PayPass accepted. Google Wallet will also sync Google Offers (www.google.com / offers) that you can redeem through the NFC in the merchant listed on SingleTap program, or by showing bar code when you check out. Many traders who are working to integrate the supply and loyalty programs with Google Wallet.
With Google Wallet, we build an open trading ecosystem, and we plan to develop an API that will allow integration with a number of partners. Initially, Google Wallet would be compatible with the Nexus S 4G by Google, is available at Sprint. Over time, we plan to add support for mobile devices more broadly.
