Currently arguably Super AMOLED screen made by Samsung is the new standard for what is called the best screen in the world. Thought is not wrong, at least by LG as the company's compatriot rival from Samsung is starting to raise the prestige of a homemade screen with prestigious awards won in the category of the Intertek Quality & Performance Mark.
Intertek is an international company that works with how to conduct a test of a product and provide certification of such products. The award of this Intertek more enjoyable for the LG because they get it by defeating the screen of the Samsung Super Amoled Plus S Galaxy II. The award was given to the latest screen LG newly released and not yet in use in gadgets namely AH IPS LCD screen measuring 4.5''HD resolution of 1280x720 pixels with 329ppi. Rival Samsungnya uses AMOLED display Super Galaxy II Plus on measuring 4.3''WVGA 480x800 with 217ppi resolution.
In tests, screen LG beat Samsung in terms of color accuracy and power consumption with superior distance far enough. In color accuracy, the LG screen gets rating 0.012 compared with 0.037's Super Amoled. The smaller the value the better the color accuracy because of the distance between the original color and the color produced by the smaller screen.
In power consumption, AH IPS screen is constantly spending about 624mW, compared with 1130mW's Super Amoled. The use of this energy is produced when the screen in the test with a level of brightness of 600 nits. It shows LG's screen is more efficient in maximizing the energy compared with the Super Amoled.
